Kenosistec srl is the company of the Angelantoni Group which is totally devoted to the development and manufacture of vacuum systems for the deposition of thin film coatings.
Kenosistec’s vast experience in this sector has roots in its very origin. In fact, it was established in 2005 through the merger of Sistec, a company of the Angelantoni Group, with Kenotec, a small company of the Milanese hinterland, with the aim of achieving an adequate size for entering the international market with increasingly reliable and innovative products.
| Both companies boasted a long experience in technologies such as: |
Sputtering |
PECVD |
Electron-beam gun evaporation. |
| More recently, through the acquisition of the technology of Microcoat srl, this experience was expanded to include |
Cathode arc deposition |
| |
Important industrial sectors such as electronics, automotive, mechanics, textiles, optics and, to an increasing extent, energy production make large use of these techniques to obtain materials with better characteristics, both through the modification of the first surface layers using plasma, and through the deposition of thin film coatings on the surface of the material to be modified.
| Some of the most common applications are: |
Metal and oxide films deposited in the typical production of semiconductors |
Nanometers of nitrides deposited to increase the hardness of mechanical tools |
Anti-reflection and scratch-proof coatings applied to glass or plastic |
| |
| Thanks to the experience of its technicians, capable of combining design flexibility with economical production and operation, Kenosistec has become, for the Italian and international markets, a sure point of reference for “batch” type systems and plants, both for R&D and production. |

New development in the photovoltaic energy field
The strong development of Kenosistec’s activity derives from the increasingly large demand for systems capable of depositing films on very broad surfaces for industrial applications that are unit-cost sensitive.
While the horizontal on-line system called “Cyclope”, capable of depositing on flat substrates using PVD and PECVD technologies, is a clear example of this trend, the new sputtering systems for applications on large substrates in the photovoltaic energy field represent the company’s most significant product.
Both the thermal solar and photovoltaic solar power sectors require industrial thin film deposition systems that Kenosistec has developed and is actively proposing on the market.
New collaborations
Expanding its commercial activity into the vacuum plants and systems sector, Kenosistec has begun collaborating with Caburn, world leader in the field of vacuum components, in particular electrical feedthroughs and windows, and with IPT, a German company expert in the field of plasma sources.
Traditional partners are, in addition, Tfe and Angelantoni Industrie.
