Angelantoni has an intensive 20-year experience in the Chinese market, starting with a simple agency relationship and evolving to comprise the creation of a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) and a JV company.
Angelantoni’s presence in China has always been based on a firm belief in the enormous potential of the local market. Indeed, every one of its activities and investments is conceived mainly for the Chinese market.
AMEC – Angelantoni Mechanical Equipment Company (Beijing) Ltd – is a WFOE established in Beijing in 2001 that today counts 80 employees. AMEC manufactures environmental test chambers, and starting in 2008 its range of production will also include biomedical freezers, in addition to continuing to offer local sales support and servicing.
Angelantoni has continued its expansion strategy in China, and in 2005 AMEC set up a JV with a company in Chongqing which manufactures environmental test chambers: ATEC – Advanced Testing Equipment (Chongqing) Co. Ltd. The purpose is to produce a simpler range of chambers there under a new brand name, capable of meeting different local customer needs.
